Mohammad Reza Tafazoli was born in 1974 in Karlsruhe, Germany. He began his musical studies at the Tehran Music School in 1988 and graduated from the same school in 1992.in 1993, he studied music at the Faculty of Arts and Architecture at the Islamic Azad University and he graduated in 1999.
Mohammad Hadi Yousefi graduated from Tehran University with a BA in International Music. He has a history of numerous performances in Avini Hall as a soloist and accompanist and has collaborated with several festivals such as “Javan” and “Saba” and ensembles such as “Koda” and “Azarbod”. He is also the winner of the second prize of the Saba Festival.
Yasman Koozehgar started learning music at the age of 9. In 2007, she entered the Girls’ Music Conservatory and started playing the cello with Karim Ghorbani, then continued playing the cello with Xabiz Zarbakhsh and added to her knowledge by participating in the master classes of Christian Schultz, Anya Lechner, Giovanni Richardi and Pejman Memarzadeh. She has a history of working with many ensembles and orchestras in her career.
Nazanin Ahmadzadeh (b. 1990) is a graduate of the Music Conservatory and an oboe player. Under the supervision of Farshid Hefzi Fard, she obtained a bachelor’s degree in oboe instrument playing from the University of Applied Sciences Unit 11 in 2011 and added to her knowledge by participating in the masterclasses of Tobias Balm and Paolo Verchin. In 2011, she started her activity in the field of contemporary music under the supervision of Karen Kiyhani.
Azin Movahed After graduating from the U.S. in 1993, moved to Iran and began teaching young musicians. Her longstanding desire for serving her country, Iran, led her be employed at the Faculty of Music at University of Tehran in 1994 and currently, she is an assistant professor at the Faculty of Music and the head of School of Performing Arts and Music at the campus of Fine Arts.
Sina Sedghi pianist and composer was born in Sanandaj, Iran in 1989. He has studied composition with Alireza Mashayekhi and piano with Rozita Shaker. Since 2008 he joined the “Tehran Music Group” and “Iranian Orchestra for New Music” and in 2013 developed his career as soloist and composer with this orchestra. In December 2014 and 2016 some of his chamber music premiered in “Hans Eisler Conservatory” in Berlin.
He studied contemporary composition at the Sibelius Academy of Music in Finland, the University of Gothenburg in Sweden, UDK University of Arts in Berlin, the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre, and Tbilisi State Music Conservatory under the supervision of Helena Tulve, Malin Bång, Manolis Vlitakis, Tapio Tuomela, Ole Lutzüow Holm, Maka Virsalaze and etc.
Arvin Sedaghatkish (Tehran 1974), author, music researcher, music critic and composer, who wrote many articles, essays and reviews in Persian and English. He is/was a member of the editorial board of the Farhang-o-Āhang (2005-2010), Harmonytalk (2004-now), Āineyi-e-Khiāl (2007-2008), Ketāb-e-Sāl-e-Shaydā (2007 – 2011), Mehregāni biquarterly (2010-2013) (Co-founder), Zangār (2016-2017) (scientific advisor) and writes continuously in many other musicological journals and musical magazines like Honar-e-Moosighi, Gozāresh-e-Moosighi, Māhoor Quarterly and etc.
