Seyed Mohammad Zolnouri
Mohammad Zolnouri was born in 1969 in Kermanshah Province. He began playing the setar in 1984 under the guidance of Majid Rezaei and later studied with Saeed NiaKosari following the Jalal Zolfonoon method. From 1992, he studied the secrets and techniques of playing the instrument with Hossein Alizadeh. In 1993, he entered the Music University and benefited from the guidance of renowned professors like Farhad Fakhreddini, Hassan Riahi, and Mohammad Sarir.
Concurrently, he continued playing tar and setar with Daryoush Pirniakan, following the style of Mirza Hossein Gholi and performing compositions by Abolhasan Saba. In 1999, he founded the music group “Kaihan” and took charge of its leadership. His activities include authoring a book on the basics and intermediate levels of playing the tambour, releasing albums such as “NoorMahtab,” “Dar Entezar,” “Dordaneh,” “Hasar-e Del,” and “Haft Aseman.” He has also performed concerts with a choir under the supervision of Maestro Hossein Alizadeh.
