Sarvin Hazin
Sarvin Hazin was born in Tehran in 1990 and began her musical training at the age of eight. She initially studied concert violin at the University of Tehran and graduated with honors before moving to Vienna in 2014. In November 2019, she completed her violin concert studies at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna with Professor Rainer Küchl (former concertmaster of the Vienna Philharmonic) with distinction – she also attended various master classes with Christian Altenburger and Dominika Falger, among others.
As a member of the Webern Symphony Orchestra, she played under the direction of Zubin Mehta, Christoph Eschenbach and Semyon Bychkov, among others. She is currently a member of the ‘Webern Kammerphilharmonie’, studies chamber music with Professor Johannes Meissl at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna, and regularly gives chamber music concerts. In addition, she plays a variety of concert programs with the Persian string instrument kamanche in the field of Persian and Kurdish music.
Sarvin has years of experience as a violin teacher for children and adults and has been teaching at the Klangspiele Vienna music school since 2015.
