Reso Kiknadze
Reso Kiknadze is Composer and performer. He was born 1960 and grown up in Tbilisi, Georgia.He studied classical philology at the Tbilisi State University (diploma 1982). He played saxophone in the Georgian TV Big Band and the Conservatory Jazz Quintet, performing at various festivals in Tbilisi,Tallinn, Vilnius etc. In 1986 – 1990 Reso studied Composition at the Tbilisi State Conservatoire and Georgian traditional music. In 1991 he moved to Germany and studied composition under Friedhel Doehl at the Music Academy of Luebeck, also Electroacoustic Music under Dirk Reith.
During 2011 – 1998 He was a teacher at the Electroacoustic Music Studio of the Music Academy of Luebeck, also teacher for saxophone and improvisation at the Rosengarten Music School in Luebeck. since 2000 he has collaboration with TanzOrt Nord, a contemporary dance company in Luebeck In 2002 he founded ‹Resolution Group›, a free electroacoustic improvisation ensemble and Since 2004 lecturing at various institutes about electroacoustic music and Georgian traditional music.
