Muriel Razavi

The American-Iranian violist Muriel Razavi (b. 1992 in Freiburg) is one of the most promising violists of her generation and performs worldwide in various formations and genres of classical music. From October 2023 she will be teaching as a professor of viola at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg and at the Trossingen State University of Music. She is currently doing her doctorate at the Hamburg University of Music and Theater under the artistic supervision of Daniel Barenboim, where she is researching re-orientalism in music.
