Farimah Ghavamsadri
Farimah Ghavamsadri born in 1950 in Tehran, initiated her musical education under the guidance of the renowned pianist Aflia Kambajian from childhood. She successfully graduated from the University of Art in Tehran. In 1973, she entered the Ecole Normale de Musique in Paris with a scholarship, specializing in piano and chamber music. Subsequently, she pursued various specialized courses in Kijana and Siena, Italy, Temple University in Philadelphia, and McGill University in Canada.
She served as a music professor at the University of Art in Tehran, participated in numerous concerts on Iran’s national radio and television, and performed in Europe and the United States. She played a crucial role as one of the founders of the Contemporary Music Group of Tehran (1993) and served as the principal soloist of the New Music Orchestra. Additionally, she took on responsibilities such as editing the piano works of Master Mashayekhi and organizing many of his concerts worldwide, contributing significantly to recording a substantial portion of Mashayekhi’s works.
