Ehsan Sabouhi
Ehsan Sabouhi belongs to the new generation of contemporary music composers in Iran who explore their compositional experiences in three different areas: Experimental music, Eye Music, and Free Tonal music.
He received his diploma in music with a focus on Iranian instrument performance (santur) from Soreh High School and a bachelor’s degree in music with a focus on global instrument performance (saxophone) from the Faculty of Art and Architecture at Tehran Azad University in 2005, and completed his master’s degree in contemporary music from the Art University in 2009. Sabouhi received an honorary diploma from the Kharkiv Conservatory in Ukraine in 2012 for his composition “Sonata-e Veda” (Farewell Sonata). Since 2008, he has been teaching the fundamentals of composition and harmony at the Applied-Scientific University, Tehran Conservatory, and the High Music School.
