Babak Koohestani
Babak Koohestani, born in Tehran in 1987, is a violinist and violist. He holds a Master’s degree in performance from the University of Tehran, where he studied under esteemed professors such as Valodia Tarkhanian, Mamuka Dolidze, Mohsen Farzaneh, Mohammad Reza Atabaki, Setareh Beheshti, Azin Mohajer, Iman Fakhre, Paniz Firouze, Mehran Rouhani, Alireza Mashayekhi, Mohammad Reza Darvishi, Shahin Farhat, Mohammad Reza Tavassoli, Saeed Lotfi, and many others.
Koohestani has collaborated with orchestras such as Kamarata, Tehran University, Tehran Symphony, Iranian Philharmonic, and Parsian from 2006 to 2014. He is also the founder and active member of the Arvand Quartet and Zarvan Trio since 1990.
Throughout his career, Babak Koohestani has made significant contributions to the world of classical music, both as a performer and a collaborator with various orchestras and chamber ensembles.
