Atiye Shahvardi
Atiye Shahvardi, born on 22 June, 1988, in Tehran, is a graduate in Persian Literature from the Faculty of Humanities at the National University of Tajikistan. At the age of 12, Shahvardi began her musical journey playing the frame drum (daf) under the guidance of Monijeh Hanani. She further honed her skills studying with renowned musicians such as Mehdi Rezaei, Saber Kakavand, Behnam Masoumi, Farzad Moradi, and Andreas Rohde.
Shahvardi collaborated with the New Music Orchestra for 8 years and served as a performer for 2 years with Alireza Mashayekhi’s Meta-X group. She contributed as a guest musician in groups like Sanma and Koobeh, showcasing her talents in festivals such as the Avaye Honari Festival (Selected Performer), KLANG WERK TAGE Festival in Hamburg, the International Kobeh Players Festival in Yerevan, and various classical to contemporary music festivals in Tehran.
Currently, Atiye Shahvardi is active as a musician in the Doo Ensemble and Yarava Music Group. She also holds the position of the conductor of the Yarava Modern Orchestra.
