Armin Gheitasi
Armin Gheitasi was Born in 1982 in Tehran, He entered the School of Music after completing his primary education. Simultaneously studying theoretical music courses, he commenced flute playing under the guidance of Master Mohammad Ali Lagha. He utilized their experiences until the end of the postgraduate program, achieving the highest grades in flute performance during the bachelor’s degree. He also underwent short courses with flute professors such as Professor Philippe Racine from Switzerland, Karl Jinno from Ukraine, Koushyar Shahroudi from France, Mehdi Jameei, and Forough Karimi from Germany.
From the beginning, alongside flute playing, he had a keen interest in composition and orchestration in various genres of world music. After covering comprehensive music theory courses, he delved into these fields and gained insights from professors like Dr. Saeed Sharifian and Master Taghi Zarabi, excelling in composing, orchestrating, and playing in various music genres worldwide.
Among his notable achievements, Gheitasi’s participation in orchestras like Tehran Youth Symphony Orchestra, Municipality Symphony Orchestra, National Orchestra, Iranian Philharmonic Orchestra, Parsian Orchestra, Tehran Symphony Orchestra, and Iran National Orchestra stands out. As the sole performer, he has played various woodwind instruments from different countries in Iran, showcasing them in each Arse Nova concert.
Additionally, he holds the first prize in the classical competition of the Fajr Music Festival for solo performance (Year 2001) and two first prizes with the members of the Arse Nova Sextet in the years 2008_2009.
