Ali Ahmadifar
Ali Ahmadifar (born 1976, Tehran) is an Iranian composer and educator specializing in composition, musical styles, and music history. He studied classical harmony and contemporary techniques unde Keyvan Mirhadi. His compositions have been performed in Europe and Iran, including a notable performance by the MDR Leipzig Radio Symphony Orchestra in 2006 as part of the orchestra’s main annual program.
Ahmadifar has served as a visiting lecturer at the School of Music at Guilan University and is the author of two books, Pluralism in Post-Tonal Music and The Study of Arvo Pärt’s Music. He has also been the scientific editor for numerous papers on music. In addition to his writing and teaching, he has lectured extensively on various music research topics. He been the editor-in-chief of the radio program Contemporary Music, which airs on Iran’s Cultural Radio.
